Tarl's Bringing the Thunder

For my work-in-progress original story, dubbed Firesiders.

This mental image was what really stuck with me as I conceptualized who should truly take on the role of "Free Searcher", the one who channels the ferocious power of a desert monsoon through the use of the Helmet of Salvation, aka the mind. I'm glad I was able to hunker down and finish this concept art! I thought an old Hollywood cowboy-turned-professor would be up to the task of pretending to wield a Winchester and lightning flying out on mental command. The Helmet part of the armor is entirely cerebral, which is perfect for Chesley who is admittedly way past his prime, so pulling his weight within the group is hardly a problem for this graybeard.
