Heroes in Mourning

A BIGGIE for the endlessly endearing (and patient) Matt Hanson, who requested an homage to a major plot event that played out in a tabletop game of his, done in comic cover proportions. Blink made the ultimate sacrifice for her city by undoing a prophecy that foretold the death of her girlfriend, Starling, who is the one mourning at the base of the memorial.

From back to foreground, we have Artemis looking statuesque at Starling's side, the gravity manipulator Pull offering a hand of consolation, Skull hiding her emotions behind a conjured helm of bone, the psychic Mara livid over the death of his friend and trudging away, and last but not least, the two new recruits going by Copycat and Zero trying to hold it together at a highly emotional gathering for a heroine they hadn't much connection to.
