Guardian Angel

This is a full-blown painterly scene presenting OC's Raelynn and Matthias, with the former protecting the latter from a masked soldier with her supernatural abilities, commissioned and authored by an extremely lenient seeMISARCHIST. I've been working on this project for a looooong time, but the stars have finally aligned; my biggest ever painted piece thus far is now complete! It's my "biggest" in that it contains a solid background, architecture, and several characters interacting with one another (quite a big deal for me). I realize that I have a lot to learn when it comes to lighting, reflection, atmospheric density, and color theory, but I'm considering this piece a step in the right direction toward expanding my artistic repertoire, and I couldn't be more grateful to Misarchist for the opportunity she granted me here.
