Firesiders - Give the Girl Space

I figured out how to steal an Instagram filtered file WITHOUT posting it - ya turn on airplane mode, edit and post the image, wait for the filtered photo to download to your phone, then delete the submission. Easy! So now I can post the final product here first here on DA with the full commentary.

Wow, another happy lighting accident. B-but this was just supposed to be simple concept art exploring an idea. A doodle. Neither this character's background NOR her design is finalized, man. This thing got so out of hand, and I want to be mad, but... pretty lights. *.*

Here I am further visualizing Madison getting paired up with the Breastplate of Righteousness (dubbed the Right Bearer). Being affiliated with the crux, the self, or the 'heart' of an individual, the Breastplate gives the Fire within Maddie an unusual capability that is not found in any of the other Firesiders: shapeshifting. Her Fire parades as ash and smoke, inspiring the look of her "warform". It is seemingly made out of white charcoal that has been twisted into the shape of a very wendigo-looking thing topped with an animal skull. Additionally, her body needn't be bound by physics. She can also dissolve into a plume of smoke that is pretty dang speedy; not to mention untouchable.

Disappearing-reappearing acts are exactly what Maddie loves to do to be the showstopper and 'wow' her mates, but instead it just gives them unwanted heart attacks.

The scene feels like it's very early on, like she's trying to reign in on her abilities but still doesn't quite have a say on when she shifts. Changing is scary. Who wouldn't have a D8 face when you're burning away like a piece of paper?

FS is kinda spoopy and I am a-OK with that.
